Can the brain recovery from serious injury?
After injury the brain loses its ability to process information in a structured and timely manner. For the patient (and their family) this is not only frustrating, but extremely strenuous and leads to full body fatigue.
The brain, just like our nerves, will keep signally and trying to make that connection in an attempt to repair and carry out its duties. This process is called neuroplasticity which is considered to be one of the most important developments in modern science for our understanding of the brain.
Rest is crucial for neuroplasticity, but starting neurological rehabilitation as soon as possible is imperative as the longer it’s left untreated, the harder it will be to recover.
As well as physical rehabilitation such as speaking, mental calculations and problem solving, movement and proprioception tasks, heat, taste, and touch homework etc, Neuro-Acupuncture has been proven to be effective multiple times in the recovery of various brain conditions.
Neuro-Acupuncture is a Western Medical Acupuncture which stimulates the desired parts of the brain, and is often coupled with bioelectric frequencies (Bioelectric Medicine) which mimics the natural frequencies of the body, and is used to secrete vital neurotransmitters, as well as modulate inflammation, blood flow, and tissue reorganisation.
The best results have been shown to occur when Neuro-Acupuncture with bio-stimulation is started within a few days of injury (some Drs prefer hours), and is combined with a periodised rehabilitation plan, and nutritional therapy.
